Understanding the Spiritual Disease of Addiction and the Opioid Epidemic:
Developing a Ministry of Hope
Rev. John Stabeno will provide an overview of the spirituality of addiction, the elements of recovery and the factors that have led to the crisis we face in this war on addiction and the aftermath.
Ø Testimony by those who live with addiction, family members and those who have lost a loved one from this disease will be on hand to share their experience strength and hope.
Ø Practical tips will be suggested for those interested in sharing in this ministry of the church to assist those on their respective journey
Ø Panel of professionals in various lines of work who are on the front lines will offer their thoughts and concerns for those lives affected by addiction
Ø Discussion of where we go from here will be facilitated in order to develop an ongoing strategy and plan for the role of church in providing effective ministry in this area
